I've had a good day and feel motivated, so I figured I would work on my goal of writing more posts. I am going to make this a short post because it is getting a bit late and I am feeling physically exhausted from moving on Friday and trekking a total of 4 miles to and from Safeway. However, it was refreshing to get some exercise and activity in, which makes me excited and motivated to start lifting weights. While the physical benefits are awesome, I primarily utilize exercise to help my mental health and stave off depression and anxiety. This usually therefore results in less substance abuse.
Anyways, so far the past two days here at the sober living has been great and I have been very welcomed. It is a calm house and matches my personality, so acclimation has been quick and easy. Before walking down to the store, I completed the remaining storing and organizing of my items. I think that I will finish today off with a warm shower followed by an ice cold rinse.
I really want to and plan to continuing writing about my experiences with heavy substance abuse and consequent deterioration of my mental health. And then of course I'd like to write more about my experience with the justice system over the past few days. It has been eye opening and I'm sure that being on supervised probation for two years is not going to be fun.
